Motus Foundation at the Decointer Green Fuels Events in Gdynia

On 14–15 April 2026, Motus Foundation participated in two back-to-back Decointer events hosted by Gdynia Maritime University — one of our key project partners in the South Baltic region.

Day 1 — Green Fuels Supply Chain Seminar

Olena Davydok represented Motus Foundation at the Decointer Green Fuels Supply Chain Seminar, which brought together experts and stakeholders from the maritime, energy, and logistics sectors. The seminar addressed the practical deployment of alternative marine fuels across the full value chain — from production and transport to storage and distribution.

Presentations and discussions covered global trends in green shipping, safety and risk management, and the specific conditions of the South Baltic area. Particular focus was placed on fuels such as hydrogen, methanol, ammonia, and bioLNG, as well as the critical role ports must play in enabling this transition — both in terms of infrastructure readiness and regional supply chain coordination.

Day 2 — Decointer Partners Meeting

Joanna Kniter joined the full project partnership for a working meeting, where teams from across the consortium came together to review progress, share updates, and align on next steps. As an active partner in the project, Motus Foundation contributed to discussions spanning several work packages, reflecting our ongoing commitment to supporting the development of practical tools and strategies for green fuel deployment in South Baltic seaports.

The meeting reinforced the collaborative spirit that drives Decointer forward — bringing together ports, research institutions, and organisations from Poland, Lithuania, Denmark, and Sweden to work towards a shared vision of a greener maritime future.
