Seminar 'LNG bunkering in the seaport’

Over 30 representatives from the energy, port and maritime industry, as well as members of the academia, gathered on February 7th in Gdynia at the Port of Gdynia Authority, to take part in the seminar: “LNG bunkering in the seaport”.

The seminar was dedicated to the bunkering formal procedures and the legal framework in the Seaport in Gdynia. The aim of the event, organized by the Motus Foundation, was the promotion of LNG as fuel and discussion about formalities with different LNG bunkering methods.The seminar focused on a range of topics, from LNG trends in the shipbuilding industry, LNG bunkering in Baltic and European ports, guidelines and European examples for the LNG bunkering, ending with workshop and discussion on the LNG bunkering in the Port of Gdynia.

The speaker line-up featured key LNG and maritime stakeholders, among them representatives from the Remontowa LNG Systems, Baltic Ports Organization and Maritime Academy in Szczecin. The presentations underlined the importance of promotion and support of LNG as an alternative fuel for transport on national and regional level.

Next LNG seminar, organized by Motus Foundation, will be focused on LNG in transport and industry on March 7th during Transport Week. The event will be combine with official establishment of Polish LNG Platform.
